	PRODUCTION TRAINING Distinguished by a combination of classroom, self-study and "in-the-field" training, the Production Training Program (PTP) is intended to provide the comprehensive knowledge and skills necessary to manage the homebuilding process. Several quizzes, "in-field" demonstrations to test proficiency and a final exam are used to evaluate the learning and progress of trainees. Among the topics covered in this program are: Site Plans and Blueprints House Setting, Excavation and Grading Footers, Foundations and Damp-proofing Concrete and Drain Tile Framing and Roofing Insulation Procedures and Energy Conservation Customer Relations and Service Time Management Subcontractor Relations OSHA Regulations "NVR always asks where you want to be in a year, 2 years, 5 years, etc. The company then works out a plan and helps you work toward that goal.
